The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) consultants help entrepreneurs develop the planning, management, and financial skills necessary to make their businesses thrive.
The SBDC provides one-on-one consulting and seminars to pre-venture, startup, and existing small businesses located in Centre and Mifflin counties. Consulting is confidential and provided at no charge by a staff of skilled professionals who emphasize education and guidance in finding practical solutions to business problems. The SBDC also maintains a library of key print directories, periodicals, and government publications. The SBDC provides guidance in conducting research and analyzing the information.

Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Did you know we offer free help with grand openings and ribbon cuttings? A grand opening represents an important time for your newly launched business, an opportunity for the entrepreneur to share their new venture with the community. By working with your Penn State SBDC, business owners and entrepreneurs gain access to the information and resources needed to hold a successful grand opening or ribbon-cutting event.
