The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides one-on-one consulting and seminars to pre-venture, startup, and existing small businesses located in Centre and Mifflin counties. Consulting is confidential and provided at no charge by a staff of skilled professionals who emphasize education and guidance in finding practical solutions to business problems.
Established in 1997, the Penn State SBDC is one of eighteen such centers in Pennsylvania, and one of more than 1,000 centers nationwide. When you call us you are tapping into a pool of experts and resources that spans the country.
If you are an aspiring business owner, you may want to check out our low-cost prebusiness seminar, " The First Step." Or perhaps you need advice on whether or not to expand your business, and want an objective assessment of your situation. Or maybe you are interested in purchasing a business and need someone to help you determine the financial feasibility of pursuing the transaction.
Whatever your small business needs may be, we offer free assistance to help you achieve your objectives. Our knowledgeable Penn State staff, faculty, and students serve as consultants. If the need arises, we also have access to a pool of off-campus consultants who can assist you with various aspects of your business.
