Timely, consistent, and accurate recordkeeping is essential to monitor business performance, prepare tax returns, and make well-informed decisions regarding your business.

At this seminar, you can learn how to:

  • set up preferences for your business, chart of accounts, and forms and logos
  • reconcile bank and credit cards
  • create customer invoices
  • record sales receipts, customer payments, and deposits
  • pay bills
  • maintain a check register

Do I need to bring my laptop to the QuickBooks class?

No. The class is in a computer lab and QuickBooks will be loaded on the computer.

Jennifer L. Wingard joined Ben Franklin Transformation Business Services Network in May 2018 as an accountant and coordinator of administrative services.  As part of her mission to help businesses grow, she works with clients to convert them from a box of receipts into an organized accounting system, which will support the needs of the company.  Throughout Ben Franklin’s 32-county footprint, Jennifer assists startup companies in the implementation of proper accounting systems, selection of business-appropriate accounting software programs (Quickbooks, Sage, etc) and subsequent training/support.  Jennifer, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA,  previously worked in governmental accounting, public accounting and private industry for over 26 years.  Her varied positions have provided a background which encompasses accounting, inventory management, payroll, financial reporting/forecasting, and proper office procedures.
