Corey Elbin, a DJ, artist, and event organizer, is the creative force behind Gorinto Productions, a production company dedicated to curating transformative and inclusive arts experiences in Central Pennsylvania.

Since 2021, Gorinto Productions has brought vibrant cultural programming to the region, including Rhoneymeade Fest, the Secret Planet concert series, and various immersive music events. With a passion for fostering community engagement through music, Elbin sought to establish a dedicated venue in downtown State College, Pennsylvania—one that would welcome both international artists and local musicians while providing an alternative space for those seeking a more inclusive and engaging concert experience.

Having previously worked with the Penn State SBDC when launching Gorinto Productions, Elbin returned for support in taking the next big step: securing a lease on a physical space to serve as a music venue. He found a location at a historic downtown space, formerly home to The Saloon, a local bar, but needed assistance reviewing and negotiating lease agreements. The space would be called Manny’s Live Performance Space, a homage to Elbin’s beloved cat Manny.

Business Consultant Elizabeth Fegert helped Elbin assess the lease terms, develop pitch materials to engage local donors and community organizations, craft sponsorship proposals to secure funding for Rhoneymeade Festival and other events, and build marketing strategies to attract audiences and increase visibility. She also helped him prepare an application for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s “Marketing to Attract PA Tourist” grant, a $50,000 grant designed to bring visitors to Pennsylvania’s cultural destinations.

Manny’s officially opened in January 2025 and has quickly become State College’s go-to space for local artists, international touring acts, and Penn State student organizations. Manny’s also fosters economic growth by engaging local breweries, restaurants, and food vendors to collaborate on events.

The grand opening event drew an audience of more than 200, featuring Colombian artist Yeison Landero, who was scheduled to perform at the Kennedy Center later that week. In the first six months, Manny’s will host 15 international touring acts that otherwise perform at metropolitan music venues in cities New York City and Philadelphia, making State College an unexpected highlight of the East Coast international music scene.

With the guidance from the Penn State SBDC, Elbin has transformed his dream into a reality, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for music lovers. Manny’s has become a cultural hub that brings global sounds to Pennsylvania while championing local talent and community engagement. As Elbin continues to expand Gorinto Productions, his story stands as a testament to the power of entrepreneurial vision, community collaboration, and strategic business support.
